With three different hunting packages available to suit your hunting style, Silver Spur offers every modern convenience and accommodation you could possibly want on this world-class outdoor adventure:
- Guided Backcountry Camp Elk Hunts: These are nine-day excursions, and your trip starts at our 6,800 square foot bed and breakfast in our main lodge, located in the historic gold mining town of Dixie, Idaho. With every modern convenience, your first and final night’s sleep will offer the utmost comfort, home cooking, and picturesque surroundings. The next morning, your party will travel by horseback to your camp, and that’s where the adventure begins! You will enjoy 7 days of guided hunting, and your camp will be professionally equipped with 3 large tents to accommodate a cook, your guides, and your party of hunters. You will have wood stoves for heat in each tent, along with comfortable cots. A packer will retrieve and transport your game back to the lodge as you succeed in your elk hunt.
- Deluxe Drop Camps: These trips are for seasoned hunters who enjoy the same accommodations that are provided in the Guided Backcountry Camp Elk Hunt, but without cook and guide services. With a fully equipped kitchen and dining tent, and 3 tents for up to eight hunters, you provide your own food and gear. We supply a radio for you to contact the lodge with when you are ready for a packer to come and pick up your game. In addition, as with the guided backcountry camp hunt, your first and final nights are spent back at the lodge, enjoying the comfortable accommodations and home cooked specialties and baked goods.
- Guided Lodge Elk Hunts: This trip is for the family that appreciates the comforts of home at the end of the daily hunt in nature’s bountiful backcountry. Begin your day with a hot breakfast, and return to the lodge each evening for a homemade, savory dinner.
